5 of the Best Robot Mops for Your Home

Best Robot Mops Featured

You may have already heard about the best robot vacuum cleaners, but they’re not the only robot cleaning tool you can buy for your home.

You can make the cleaning experience a lot easier with a robot mop in your smart home. These take the effort away from cleaning up spills and mishaps, cleaning up while you relax.

Here are five of the best robot mops for you to use in the home.

1. iRobot Braava 380t

Many robot mops will be hybrids – both a vacuum cleaner and a mop. The iRobot Braava 380t is one of the rare, dedicated robot mops currently on the market.

It comes with a water tank to properly clean your hard flooring, but there’s also the option for dry sweeping. It can clean over wide areas up to 350 sq. feet for wet mopping or over 1000 sq. feet for dry sweeping.

The Braava 380t has a run time of between 150 minutes (for wet cleaning) and 210 (for dry). It comes with reusable cloths but supports disposable ones, if you’d prefer.

If you’re concerned about hard flooring, the Braava 380t has a “damp” mode. It’ll be damp enough to wipe down your floor surfaces but not enough to damage any expensive hardwood floors.

2. iLife V8s

Unlike the Braava 38t, the iLife V8s is a hybrid dual-mode mop and vacuum cleaner. It’s a good option for those looking to enhance their smart home on a budget.

With that in mind, don’t expect it to have some of the features you’d see on some of the more expensive models, like smartphone control. It does, however, come with several pre-set cleaning modes, like on-the-spot cleaning to wipe up any excess spills.

You can also schedule your cleaning with the iLife V8s, making life easier if you want it to clean your floors while you’re at work. The iLife V8s’s mopping mode works great on flat surfaces, but it doesn’t have a scrubbing mode, so this is something to consider.

It comes with reasonable battery life (around 80 minutes), but some of the models on this list do have larger capacities.

3. Ecovacs Deebot M80 Pro

The Ecovacs Deebot M80 Pro is another hybrid, but it’s a more premium alternative than the iLife V8s, for those with a little extra to spend.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Deebot M80 Pro is how quiet it is to use. It comes with voice control using Amazon Alexa, but you can also control it using your smartphone.

Various pre-set cleaning modes are included (like cleaning around the edges), but the standout cleaning feature is the full-sweep mode covering five steps. It’ll sweep and lift, hoover, mop and dry in one session – ideal for the widest areas and for maximum cleaning potential.

It has an automatic return-home mode when it’s low on power but should last around 110 minutes, on average.

4. Proscenic 790T

While it’s another hybrid robot mop and vacuum cleaner, the Proscenic 790T isn’t a slouch. It has an impressively large water tank, so its mopping potential isn’t an afterthought like some models on the market.

It has smartphone control through its own app, a two-hour battery life, and a dual-cleaning mode that’ll allow for mopping and vacuuming at the same time.

Unlike some hybrids, it also has good suction for cleaning both hard and carpeted surfaces. It also supports Alexa voice control, and like the Deebot M80 Pro, it’ll return to its base station when it runs out of power.

5. iRobot Braava Jet 240

The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is primarily a robot mop, but it does come with some additional sweeping features. It’s cheaper than its bigger brother, the Braava 280t and is probably one of the cheapest iRobot’s you can currently buy.

With that in mind, beware of the limitations. It’s not an ideal option for large, open spaces, but it could clean a smaller bathroom or kitchen with ease. It also has an effective scrubbing mode for wet and damp mopping.

At best, you should be able to mop or sweep areas of around 200-250 sq. feet in size. Color-coded mop pads make switching between wet and damp mopping, as well as dry sweeping, simple and easy.

It pairs well with iRobot’s own app, giving you smartphone app control on the cheap, and it should last around 180 minutes, longer than the Braava 280t.

Improve Your Cleaning Regime with a Robot Mop

Buying a robot mop can entirely change how you approach cleaning your home. You don’t need to worry about finding the time to clean, with automated programs and voice controls.

You can even buy an integrated two-in-one robot mop and vacuum cleaner to double things up. Robots aren’t just for cleaning, though, and you may find you need to buy a smart robot for garden care, teaching, and voice communication, too.
